Our 8 Day Namibia Photographic guided tour begins in Sossusvlei in the Namib Naukluft Park, where some of the world's highest sand dunes are located. Sossusvlei is a white clay pan set amidst these towering apricot-coloured, star-shaped dunes, making for a spectacular setting. Travel across desert landscapes to the beautiful coastal town of Swakopmund with its German architecture, picturesque shops and excellent restaurants. The area offers many adventure activities.
Etosha National Park is one of the largest national parks in Africa and world-renowned for its spectacular wildlife. Different unique landscapes and varied vegetation can be found across the park. It is home to a wide variety of animals, incluing lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, springbok, zebra, and wildebeest, and more than 340 bird species.

Upon arrival at the Windhoek international Airport you will be met and transferred to the The Windhoek Luxury where you will stay for the first night of your exciting Namibian safari. En route to the guesthouse you will be treated to an orientation city tour of Windhoek by your guide. Dinner tonight is included and it can be had at one of Windhoek's many famous restaurants out in town with your guide.

After breakfast this morning your personal guide will collect you from the guesthouse for the start of your exciting safari. We set off west into the Namib Desert and will travel through the scenic bushland and Savannah of the central Highlands and Namib Naukluft Park. On route stop over at the spectacular view point of the Spreetshoogte Pass before descending from the central plateau to Solitaire for lunch. In the late afternoon visit Dune 45 for a beautiful sunset and return to the lodge in time for dinner.

An early rise this morning for a magical excursion into the dunes with your guide. As you are already inside the park you can get into Sussosvlei before sunrise in time to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves.
This area boasts some of the highest free standing sand dunes in the world. Your guide will give you an insight into the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environments. Once you have explored the area to your heart's content you can enjoy a relaxed picnic breakfast in the shade of a Camel thorn tree. Return to lodge in time for lunch, stopping off to view Sesriem Canyon along the way. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure, with the option to head out again later in the afternoon to visit the dunes at Sossusvlei to see them whilst the shadows sharpen the dunes as the sun goes down.

The fascinating drive today takes you northwest through awesome and ever changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb Canyon.
Arrive in Walvis Bay in time for lunch, a visit to the Lagoon to view the Greater & Lesser Flamingos, and the Salt Pan.
You aim to reach Swakopmund in the afternoon where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler air. There should be time this afternoon to wonder around town and along the waterfront on foot if it appeals, before heading off to dinner.

After breakfast you travel east to view the lunar landscape of the Moon Valley and the Welwitschia Mirabilis, one of the oldest living fossils. You continue with your journey to Etosha National Park with a lunch stop in the town of Outjo which is the gateway to Etosha. After lunch you enter the Park through Anderson Gate and commence with an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife. Return to the camp before sunset and the closing of the gates.

Today, after breakfast, you will experience a full day's game drive from sunrise to sunset in search of wildlife in Etosha National Park - exploring the western and the eastern trails of Etosha National Park, and visiting waterholes on the way for excellent wildlife photography opportunities. Return to the camp before sunset and the closing of the gates. After dinner visit the waterhole, nature's theatre, where thirsty wildlife gathers for a sip of water.

Last game drive before leaving Etosha in the late morning and heading south to Windhoek, back to civilization. On the way, if preferred, visit the open air craft market in Okahandja, a wonderful opportunity to purchase handmade curios and African souvenirs. Arrive in Windhoek in the late afternoon.
